At least CM Punk knows that Survivor Series is a hot ticket in Chicago.
Punk was a recent guest on 670 The Score in Chicago on Thursday. He was asked very directly by Leila Rahimi if he would be at WWE Survivor Series next month. After a bit of a pause, Punk said he’s not sure he’d be able to get a ticket.
“They’re asking if I’m going to be there? I think it’s sold out,” CM Punk said. “I think tickets are hard to get.”
When asked if he’d be open to performing there, Punk said that he’s got other things going on. Punk said he’s been sitting home and enjoying the Chicago weather and taking care of his dog, Larry, who is dealing with an ACL injury.
“I don’t want to burst anyone’s bubble, but I’m kind of just sitting at home right now, enjoying this beautiful Chicago weather,” Punk explained. “I have an injury in the family. My dog blew his little dog ACL. I’m literally just spending my time with him. And I know this sounds a little crazy, but he is my son and I take care of him and treat him as such. So, everything’s kind of stopped.”
Punk said he cancelled a few things he had going on to be with Larry. He’s fortunate to be in that position, and it has been easier for himself and AJ Mendez to be home with Larry.
CM Punk’s future
CM Punk was released by AEW on September 2. This came as a result of his involvement in a backstage fight with Jack Perry at AEW All In. Since then, it’s been heavily rumored that Punk could be on his way back to WWE. However, sources inside the company have denied any talks have been started.
According to WrestleTix, there are just over 1,500 tickets left for the current configuration at the AllState Arena for WWE Survivor Series. The event sold out of its initial setup, and more sections were opened to meet demand.
