Claudio Castagnoli has earned a shot at the gold.
The October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite concluded with Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson defeating AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy and NJPW star Kazuchika Okada after Castagnoli pinned Cassidy.
As a result of the shocking finish, the broadcast team announced that Cassidy will defend the AEW International Championship against Claudio Castagnoli on November 1.
As of this writing, the announced card for the November 1 episode of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
- AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli
More matches will likely be announced during AEW Rampage and AEW Collision on October 27 and October 28.
