AEW Dynamite Results (10/25/23): MJF vs. Juice Robinson, Tony Khan’s Gift To Sting

AEW delivered a star-studded show with the October 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.

MJF defended the Dynamite Diamond Ring against Juice Robinson, and Tony Khan had a gift for Sting. Plus, Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada faced Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli. Elsewhere on the show, RVD teamed up with HOOK to face John Silver and Alex Reynolds.

AEW Dynamite Results (10/25/23)

Renee Paquette interviews AEW World Champion MJF, who calls Adam Cole. Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett interrupt. Strong accuses MJF of being the man in the devil mask and says he will help him with his Bullet Club Gold problem. MJF shoves him away and targets Jay White, as he vows to send MJF a message in blood. The man in the devil mask hacks into the feed briefly.

Dynamite Diamond Ring: MJF vs. Juice Robinson (with The Gunns)

MJF takes the fight to Robinson. They brawl around ringside. MJF sends Robinson crashing into a table. He spits water in Juice’s face. The champion drills Robinson with a running boot. He continues to control the match. MJF slams Robinson onto the steel steps, busting him open in the process. The Gunns distract MJF. Juice capitalizes and slams MJF into the steps. He chokes MJF with his scarf while The Gunns distract the referee. Robinson continues to control the match. He grounds MJF and maintains the advantage.

MJF rallies and chokes Juice with his scarf. He fires up with a flurry of offense. MJF slams Robinson’s head onto the turnbuckle and punches him. MJF hits the Kangaroo Kick and keeps gaining momentum. The Gunns interfere, and Robinson gains the upper hand again. MJF does a flip and pokes Juice in the eyes. Juice spits at MJF and punches him. He drops MJF with a powerbomb for a two-count. MJF dives onto The Gunns at ringside. Robinson floors MJF with a modified DDT. MJF sneakily puts his Dynamite Diamond Ring on and fends off The Gunns. He heats the Heatseeker for the win.

Winner: MJF

The Gunns attack MJF after the match. The Kingdom, with Roderick Strong wheeling alongside them, make the save. The Gunns take control, and Jay White gets ready to join the attack. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn run in for the save. At the top of the stage, White tells MJF to focus on him and the world title. He vows to beat MJF at AEW Full Gear. The Gunns make it clear that they want a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship. MJF accepts and challenges Bullet Club to face him next week. Roderick Strong says MJF is obviously going to pick them. MJF tells them roll off a cliff. Max Caster says that must mean MJF will pick them. MJF says he would never team with Caster and refuses to scissor him.

MJF starts to leave, but Kenny Omega confronts him. Omega says he wants a shot at the title. MJF challenges Omega to face him live on AEW Collision.

In a vignette, Wardlow discusses his return and his absence. He expresses his frustration at seeing how MJF has thrived, and everyone has started to love him. Wardlow says he’s going to take everything from MJF.

HOOK & RVD vs. Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) (with Evil Uno)

HOOK and RVD control the action early on. Reynolds and Silver gang up on the veteran. RVD sends Silver flying with a monkey flip. HOOK and RVD stand tall heading into a commercial break. They maintain the advantage. Dark Order gains the upper hand. RVD makes the hot tag and fires up. He hits Rolling Thunder and dodges an interfering Evil Uno, as he hits the mask man with a Van Damninator. RVD hits the Five-Star Frog Splash. Silver taps out to HOOK’s Redrum.

Winners: HOOK & RVD

The broadcast team announces that Toni Storm will challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW Full Gear.

In-Ring Segment: Sting and Darby Allin

Sting and Allin come to the ring, where Tony Schiaovne is waiting. Sting says Allin is the best partner he has ever had, and he praises the young star. He also thanks Tony Khan for calling him and giving him a chance to keep wrestling. Tony Schiavone highlights Sting’s legacy and introduces the gift, which is revealed as Ric Flair. Flair comes to the ring. Flair and Sting hug. Schiavone notes that Sting and Flair have a lot of history. Flair recalls how he and Sting made history on TBS with the first Clash of the Champions. He praises Sting as a wrestler and as a person. Flair says he wants to ride this wave out with Sting.

Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne interrupt. Cage insults Flair and says he would have been dead 20 years ago. He brings up beating Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream and takes shots at Philadelphia for the Phillies’ loss in the National League Championship Series. Cage says he doesn’t want to wait for Sting to be gone; he wants that to happen now. Cage challenges Sting, Allin, and a partner to face him, Luchasaurus, and Wayne at AEW Full Gear. Sting accepts.

In an interview, Chris Jericho says his ego is hurting following his loss to Powerhouse Hobbs. He says there’s a time in everyone’s career where you have to wonder if you still have what it takes. Jericho notes that there comes a time for revenge. He says Don Callis and his family have a lot of friends, and he has friends of his own.

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship: “Hangman” Adam Page & The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) & Brother Zay

The Young Bucks control the action early on. Matt Hardy drops Matt Jackson with a Side Effect. Zay dives onto Nick Jackson and Page at ringside. The Hardys maintain the advantage. Page makes the hot tag. Page dives onto Matt Hardy at ringside and slams Zay with a Death Valley Driver. Zay drops Page with the Silly String. Zay takes the fight to the Bucks and drops them with a dropkick. Jeff drops Matt Jackson with a Twist of Fate. Zay dives onto Nick and Page at ringside. Jeff hits the Swanton Bomb, but Nick breaks up the pin.

Page levels Zay with a Buckshot Lariat. The Bucks take out the Hardys, and Page pins Zay after a BTE Trigger.

Winner and still ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions: “Hangman” Adam Page & The Young Bucks

Swerve Strickland is shown on the screen, and he is shown invading Page’s house. Strickland, alongside Prince Nana, go through Hangman’s stuff, as Swerve says the family owes him something. Strickland stands over a crib and tells Page he owes him a debt. He says that Hangman Jr. could pay that debt because his dad isn’t there. Strickland leaves a Mogul Embassy shirt with the baby to remind the baby his father is indebted to him.

Renee Paquette asks Adam Copeland whether his stance about fighting Christian Cage has changed, and he says it hasn’t. Darby Allin and Sting interrupt. Allin says it’s kill or be killed. Sting tells Copeland to take his blinders off and open his eyes. Sting gets in Copeland’s face and tells him to listen to what he’s saying.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Ruby Soho

Shida and Soho squre off and feel each other out. Shida slams Soho. They trade pinfall attempts. Shida hits a missle dropkick. Soho catches Shida with the No Future at ringside. Back in the ring, Soho controls the action. Shida rallies with an elbow strike and puts Soho in a Torture Wrack. Shida gets a two-count with a sliding elbow. Soho goes to use spray paint on Shida, and the referee takes it away. Soho hits Destination Unknown for a two-count.

She hits No Future, but Shida drills her with the Katana. Shida hits a knee strike and a Falcon Arrow. Soho goes face-first into an exposed turnbuckle, and Shida pins her with the Katana.

Toni Storm comes out and stares Shida down after the match.

Backstage, MJF is asked about his match with Kenny Omega. Samoa Joe interrupts and says MJF needs someone to watch his back. He offers to be MJF’s friend if he gives him a rematch for the title.

Kazuchika Okada & Orange Cassidy vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Bryan Danielson)

Cassidy and Danielson start the bout. Danielson kicks Cassidy and gains the upper hand. Castagnoli tags in and continues to control the action. Castagnoli and Okada lock up and feel each other out. They trade blows. Cassidy tags back in, and Castagnoli dumps him on the ropes. Danielson hits a diving knee strike for a two count and grounds Cassidy. The Blackpool Combat Club duo grounds Cassidy. He rallies, but Castagnoli stops him from tagging out. Cassidy drops Castagnoli with a DDT.

Okada tags in and trades blows with Danielson. Okada gains the upper hand. Danielson rallies and drills Okada with stiff strikes. They exchange hard-hitting blows. Both men are down after a double clothesline. Cassidy kicks Castagnoli. He spikes Castanoli with a DDT. Danielson kicks Okada off the apron. Cassidy dives onto Danielson. Castagnoli catches Cassidy in the Swing. He traps Cassidy in the Scorpion Death Lock. Okada slams Castagnoli. He goes for the Rainmaker, and Cassidy hugs him. Cassidy hits the Orange Punch. Castagnoli drills Okada with a European uppercut and nails Cassidy with another for the win.

Winners: Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli

Danielson clutches his face after the match, and doctors check on him.

Best Friends come to the ring, and the broadcast team announces that Castagnoli will challenge Cassidy for the AEW International Championship next week.
