Former Ring of Honor Pure Champion Daniel Garcia is one of the most popular stars in AEW. He rose to fame after joining forces with Chris Jericho and his faction.
The former ROH Pure Champion was part of the Inner Circle and the Jericho Appreciation Society. During the latest episode of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Garcia was a special guest. In the interview, Garcia opened up about working with Chris Jericho.
“So Jericho is really good at letting you find your own way. There’s so many times after a match, I’ll go to Chris and be like, ‘Hey was this right or was this wrong? What did you like about this? What did you like about that?’ And just kind of doesn’t give you an answer. Kind of goes like, ‘Oh really great!’ And I feel like that’s by design. He wants you to find your own way. He doesn’t want to have to lead you in a direction too far or like pressure you into feeling like you having to do one thing over another. I feel like he’s very good at that,” Daniel Garcia said.
Garcia also shared what he learned from every member of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
“So the biggest thing I learned working with Chris, and 2.0, and Hager, and all the guys from the Jericho group, even Sammy (Guevara), and Taynara, Anna as well, is they gave me the confidence to try new things and the confidence to fail. Try something and if it doesn’t work it’s okay. That’s the biggest thing I learned from Chris and those guys. Have the confidence to possibly fail. It’s okay. People will forget about it next week, if it’s terrible it’s alright.”
