Cody Rhodes has some more adversity to overcome.
On the October 23 episode of WWE RAW, Cody Rhodes confronted Damian Priest and accepted his challenge to a match at WWE Crown Jewel. Rhodes braced for a fight with the Judgment Day, but Jey Uso came out to fight alongside him. They were caught off-guard by the arrival of JD McDonagh, who helped the faction gain the upper hand.
Priest then smashed Rhodes’ leg with a steel chair against the steel chair. Rhodes was taken to the trainer’s room for further evaluation.
Later in the show, Michael Cole provided a brief update as he stated that Rhodes had been diagnosed with an ankle injury. Despite the attack, Rhodes’ match with Priest was still confirmed for WWE Crown Jewel. There is no word on how his injury may affect the match.
Following the main event, where Finn Balor helped Damian Priest defeat Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes came out and made the save when the Judgment Day duo attacked his tag team partner.
