Former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan was reportedly backstage at AEW Collision, and he wasn’t just there to visit.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reports that Sami Callihan was backstage at the AEW Collision taping on October 21. Hayes wrote that, per sources, Callihan was there to potentially discuss a deal to work as an on-screen talent and backstage with the promotion.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful previously reported that former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley was pushing for Callihan in AEW, and the latter’s name has been floated around in producer roles for other companies. Moxley and Callihan are former tag team partners, and they have maintained their friendship over the years.
Callihan entered free agency when his IMPACT contract expired on September 30. He then commented on his departure and said the two sides were on good terms.
