“The EST” is back, as Bianca Belair returned on the October 20 episode of WWE SmackDown.
In the main event of the October 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair challenged IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s World Championship. The match marked Flair’s opportunity to challenge for the title in a singles match after she previously faced SKY and Asuka at WWE Fastlane. There, Damage CTRL interfered and cost Flair the match.
Flair and SKY battled it out in a thrilling contest, but Damage CTRL’s presence again made all the difference. Bayley interfered throughout the match, and she put SKY’s foot on the ropes after a Spear by Flair. “The Queen” then took the fight to Bayley at ringside. SKY capitalized on the distraction and blasted Flair with the title. She then pinned Flair to score the victory.
After the nell, SKY and Bayley ganged up and Flair, and the former champion was clearly outnumbered. But Bianca Belair ran to the ring and saved Flair. In doing so, she made her return to WWE TV, as she had been absent since August.
Belair went to drop SKY with a KOD, and when Bayley pulled her to safety, “The Role Model” took a KOD instead.
Bianca Belair had been absent since the August 18 episode of WWE SmackDown. There, she and Flair defeated SKY and Bayley. Damage CTRL then took Belair out with a vicious attack, and she had been sidelined ever since.
SKY won the title by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Belair after “The EST” won the gold at WWE SummerSlam.
