All Elite Wrestling delivered a star-studded episode of AEW Dynamite on October 18.
Among other matches, Kenny Omega faced Kyle Fletcher, and Jay White clashed with Penta El Zero Miedo. Plus, AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida faced Emi Sakura.
Elsewhere on the show, Sting addressed the fans, and Adam Copeland gave his Rated-R Rebuttal to Christian Cage.
The results are as follows:
Jay White (with Bullet Club Gold) vs. Penta El Zero Miedo (with Alex Abrahantes)
Penta dives onto White during his entrance and drops him with a slingblade on the floor. They head into the ring, and Penta keeps up the attack. Bullet Club Gold interferes, and White gains the upper hand. White suplexes Penta. He sends Penta to the outside and drives him face-first onto the apron. Back in the ring, White continues to control the action. Penta rallies and dives onto White at ringside. White and Penta trade blows. White slams Penta and gets a two-count with a Brainbuster.
Penta dodges the Bladerunner and gets a near fall with the Made in Japan. Austin contracts the referee, and Juice hits Penta. White capitalizes and pins Penta for the win.
Winner: Jay White
In a post-match promo, White says he’s a real world champion, and he’s still waiting for MJF to accept his challenge. Juice Robinson vows to win the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale and pawn the ring when he beats MJF.
Backstage, MJF says he’s going to get his AEW World Championship back, and he hopes Juice Robinson wins tonight. MJF says the blood will be on Jay White’s hands when he beats Juice Robinson backstage. The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn show up, and Max Caster offers to team with MJF. MJF turns him down, and Caster says he’ll enter the battle royal so MJF will have to “put a ring on it.”
AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Emi Sakura
Sakura takes the fight to Shida as she gets into the ring. Shida and Sakura trade strikes, and they’re evenly matched early on. Sakura and Shida roll around the mat. Sakura gains the upper hand and grounds Shida. She hangs Shida upside down and drops her with a backbreaker. Sakura gains some breathing room, but Sakura sends her crashing to the floor with a crossbody block. Shida catches Sakura with a hurricanrana. The champion gets a two-count with a missile dropkick.
Sakura dumps Sakura with a Tiger Driver for a two-count. Shida fires up and hits the Katana. Sakura escapes an arm-bar. Shida floors Sakura with the Falcon Arrow for a two-count and hits the Katana for the win.
Winner: Hikaru Shida
Renee Paquette speaks with Adam Copeland. He says things have not been going smoothly, and he’s still confused. Copeland says he wanted to end his career teaming with Christian Cage, and Cage was seemingly on-board until it became real. He reflected on his relationship with Christian, which dates back to when they were kids. Copeland recalls how Cage said he had a rocket strapped to his back. He says Cage might be working an IT job if he didn’t take a chance and encourage them to chase their dreams. Copeland says he doesn’t want Christian’s title, and he won’t fight him. He says he will be there for Cage when Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus leave him.
Wardlow vs. Ryan Nemeth
Ryan Nemeth tries to attack Wardlow, but the former TNT Champion overwhelms him and powerbombs him. The referee calls for the bell, and Wardlow is declared the winner.

Tony Schiavone asks Wardlow what he is back for. Wardlow raises his wrist; the tape has “MJF” written on it. Wardlow shoves Schiavone down.
In an interview, Kenny Omega hypes up his match with Kyle Fletcher and teases that he is coming after the world title. MJF walks up to Omega and says he has always admired him. He whispers, “13 days, bitch” in Omega’s ear.
In the latest update from Roderick Strong’s house, Mike Bennett plays a “Neck Strong” parody of “Headstrong”. Strong spits out coffee Adam Cole hands him. Cole makes Strong a PB&J. Strong spits it out. Cole angrily says he has done everything Strong has asked, and he needs surgery. Cole walks away. Strong says he’ll have to be nice to MJF to get his best friend back.
In-Ring Segment: Don Callis
Don Callis, Konosuke Takeshita, and Powerhouse Hobbs come out. Callis hypes up Hobbs’ win over Chris Jericho and says Hobbs broke him. Hobbs recalls how he had the chance to meet Jericho when he was younger, but Jericho told his grandmother to shut up. Hobbs says he vowed to get revenge, and that’s what he did. Callis says the Don Callis Family allows its members to be who they are, and Hobbs is an unstoppable machine.
He says the family is not done, and he will unleash Hobbs on AEW. Callis notes that the group has only last once, when Kyle Fletcher had to fill in due to injury. Callis says Kyle Fletcher screwed the Don Callis Family. Fletcher comes out. Fletcher says he might have been the weakest link in that match, but he would prove to everyone that he didn’t need anyone’s help to beat Omega. Callis tells Fletcher that he may have an opportunity to discuss if he beats Omega.
Kenny Omega vs. Kyle Fletcher
Fletcher attacks Omega as he steps through the ropes. Omega rallies with some strikes. Fletcher takes Omega down. Omega suplexes Fletcher and dives onto him at ringside. Fletcher takes control and slams Omega into the barricade at ringside, sending him over the barricade. Back in the ring, Omega drops Fletcher with a hurricanrana. Omega and Fletcher trade chops. Fletcher gains the upper hand and keeps Omega grounded.
Omega takes Fletcher down with another dive. Omega hits a dropkick to Fletcher’s back. Fletcher gets a two-count with a brainbuster. Fletcher sends Omega into the turnbuckles and gets a two-count with a Michinoku Driver. Omega drills Fletcher with a knee to the back and hits a reverse hurricanrana. He nails Fletcher with a nasty knee to the face.
Fletcher reverses the One-Winged Angel and locks in a dragon sleeper. Omega scores the win with the One-Winged Angel.

Lance Archer vs. Barrett Brown
Lance Archer practically drags Brown to the ring, dominates the match, and slams him for the win.

Prince Nana hypes up the premiere of Swerve Strickland’s music video. Strickland makes it clear he’s mad at Hangman Page, as Page cost him the chance to be the TNT Championship. Swerve says you don’t want to go to war with someone who doesn’t care about life. He warns that Page’s actions will have consequences.
In-Ring Segment: Sting
Sting takes a moment to reflect on his legendary career. He reflects on working with Dusty Rhodes, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair. He thanks Flair for all the moments. Sting thanks the fans. He says he understands why wrestlers hold on for so long. The fans chant, “You still got it.” Sting says he knows fans are thinking that he retired once already. He brings up his retirement in 2015. Sting then talks about retirement and addresses it. He says his last match will be at AEW Revolution 2024.
Toni Storm debuted her latest silent film, “Gone with the Storm.”
Jim Ross interviewed Nick Wayne and his mom. Ross asks Wayne’s mom how she felt about Nick turning on Darby Allin. She says she doesn’t recognize Nick right now, and this is not the way. Wayne tells her to shut up. Nick says it’s time for him to prove himself. He says Christian Cage was a better father figure than his real dad. She slaps Nick, and he says she’s dead to him. Christian tells Wayne’s mom she should have picked up the phone.
Darby Allin attacks Cage and Nick. Luchasaurus blindsides Allin, and Sting makes the save. Sting takes the fight to Cage, but Luchasaurus pulls Cage to safety.
Backstage, Kris Statlander says she wants to defend the TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale. Orange Cassidy comments on regaining the AEW International Championship. He says he has something to prove.
Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale
The final three were Daniel Garcia, Max Caster, and Juice Robinson. Once Caster eliminated Garcia, he and Robinson battled it out. Jay White attacking MJF at the broadcast table distracted Caster. Robinson put his ring on and blasted Caster. He then eliminated Caster to win the match.
