Adam Pearce Comments On Competition Between WWE RAW And SmackDown

The arrival of Nick Aldis could lead to a renewed competition between WWE RAW and SmackDown, according to Adam Pearce.

Aldis debuted on the October 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, where he was revealed as the General Manager of the show. The news came moments after WWE Official Adam Pearce had been promoted to the General Manager of WWE RAW.

On the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump, Adam Pearce commented on his promotion and Aldis’ arrival. When asked about the competition between the two shows, Pearce explained why he was looking forward to it.

“That’s the part I’m most excited about,” Adam Pearce said. “Let’s face facts, the last three and a half, four years, it’s very hard to plan two broadcasts and try to make them as good as possible, realizing that they’re direct competition with each other. So now I’m not competing with myself anymore. I have somebody else to look at. We can play that chess game. We can who in fact will make their broadcast the number one sports entertainment broadcast on the planet. I’m betting on me, and I got a headstart.”

Pearce had been a WWE Official on both RAW and SmackDown dating back to 2020, so neither show had a traditional Geneal Manager.
