Report: Details On Recent Changes To WWE RAW, Triple H’s Influence

WWE RAW has been noticeably different recently. Various talent have returned to the show, others have made their debuts, and more women’s talent have appeared on-screen. Plus, matches have gotten more time, among other differences.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, as previously noted, Triple H‘s influence on WWE RAW had more been more unimpeded than it had been in recent months. A subsequent report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stated that Ari Emanuel had been behind that change, which has seen triple H leading the charge creatively, rather than Vince McMahon.

Sapp cited WWE sources who noted that they expect the recent changes to continue. McMahon’s influence had been felt on the show, even if he wasn’t directly involved with the creative, prior to the aforementioned change. Now that Triple H’s influence is more apparent, there has been a clear effort in establishing the in-ring aspect of RAW, per one source.

More On Vince McMahon’s Changes To WWE RAW

In the report, Sapp cited a writer who noted that McMahon’s changes were minimal, but the adjustments have freshened things up and relaxed the process on RAW, given the show’s deep roster. As noted before, when McMahon was making changes remotely, RAW dealt with last-minute changes that he made remotely.

Additionally, Sapp cited one writer who commented on McMahon’s changes by saying, “”I guess he wasn’t lying when he said he wasn’t in the weeds, but in a way, he just sprayed roundup on the weeds and checked in on them every so often.”

WrestleZone has coverage of WWE RAW as it airs every Monday.
