Tay Melo is one of the most popular wrestlers in AEW. She is a former WWE Superstar who rose to the top in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Taynara Melo Guevara kicked off her professional wrestling career by training at the WWE Performance Center. She was part of the Stamford-based promotion for four years. Tay Melo began wrestling for the promotion in 2016 under the ring name Tay Conti.
After being released from her WWE contract, Melo signed with All Elite Wrestling. The Jacksonville-based promotion is where she met the love of her life, Sammy Guevara. The two are married and currently expecting their first child. Thus she has been absent from in-ring competition for the past several months.
Recently, Tay took to Twitter to share her appreciation for the United States of America. It has been seven years since she stepped foot on American soil. She thanked the USA for giving her all the opportunities in the seven years.
“7 years ago I started my life in America. I’m so grateful for this country, I’ll do whatever it takes to represent this land as if it was my own. Thank you for every opportunity, experience, and lessons. A proud Brazilian that loves America. My life is a dream and I wouldn’t change anything !!!” Tay Melo tweeted.
Prior to entering the world of professional Tay Melo Guevara was training to become a specialist in the field of Martial Arts. To be more specific, she trained in the art of Judo. The Brazilian-born wrestler also participated in the trials to be part of the Brazilian Judo Olympic team for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
