Bryan Danielson reflects on facing Swerve Strickland on AEW Dynamite and says he is at that “next level of great.”
On the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland clashed in a first-time match for a shot at the TNT Championship. Danielson scored the win in the hard-fought bout.
Speaking with Jeff Adams for Sports Nightly, Bryan Danielson noted that he had never faced Strickland before. He stated that Swerve was special, as he is the next level of great.
“This last Tuesday was the first time I’d ever been in the ring with Swerve, and I’d watched him wrestling before, and he’s that next level of great,” Bryan Danielson said. “Seeing him is one thing. Being in the ring with him is a completely different thing. But that dude is something special.”
Danielson went on to unsuccessfully challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Championship on the October 14 episode of AEW Collision.
