A new title match has been added to NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed.
As announced at NJPW Royal Quest III, Tama Tonga will defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Shingo Takagi at the October 28 event. Takagi defeated Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW Royal Quest III.
Tonga won the NEVER Openweight Championship for the third time when he defeated David Finlay at NJPW Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9. Takagi is a former two-time champion. He is also a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, among other accolades.
