Kevin Owens is the latest member of the SmackDown roster, leaving his best friend Sami Zayn on RAW in the process.
Following WWE SmackDown last night, Cathy Kelley spoke with Kevin Owens. When asked about his move from WWE RAW, Owens said it was bittersweet for him.
“But anyway, look, the point is I’m excited to be on SmackDown; It’s bittersweet,” Kevin Owens said. “My tag team partner and friend Sami Zayn is still on RAW, so I think that effectively ends our partnership for now anyway. So that’s kind of a hard one to take, but what can you do? I’m here on SmackDown; I’m gonna make the best of it.”
Kevin Owens also took a moment to seemingly shout out All Elite Wrestling’s Adam Cole, who Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports had ankle surgery on Friday.
“And before I go, I just want to say I have a friend named Adam who had a very serious surgery today. He’s at the hospital now recovering. I just want to say, Adam, we love you. We’re with you. And take care of yourself, buddy. That’s about it.”
