Big Viewership Increase For WWE SmackDown Season Premiere On 10/13

WWE SmackDown viewership increased on October 13.

According to the latest Fast Nationals data, this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.325 million viewers (preliminary total), up from last week‘s 2.303 million viewers. That final number rose to 2.417 million viewers.

The final total is a 4% increase from the 2.319 million viewers SmackDown had on October 6, and it’s an 8% compared to the 2022 SmackDown season premiere.

SmackDown scored 818,000 viewers, or a 0.62 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic. The demographic rating is down from last week (0.64 rating in the same demographic). However, the rating marks a 17% increase from the 2022 season premiere.

The total viewership number marks SmackDown’s highest number since September 15.

What happened on WWE SmackDown this week?

This week‘s episode of WWE SmackDown was the season premiere and opened up with John Cena. He was interrupted by a returning Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. This eventually brought out LA Knight as a future match was teased between himself and Reigns.

Elsewhere on the show, Charlotte Flair went face to face with Jade Cargill backstage, Triple H introduced Nick Aldis as the new general manager of SmackDown, and Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso successfully defended their titles against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Rhodes and Reigns had a long-awaited face-off following the match.

In the main event of the show, LA Knight defeated Solo Sikoa when Jimmy Uso got involved. John Cena came out to assist and make the save. Roman Reigns hit Knight with a spear following the match.
