Bianca Belair Hopes To Be Back On WWE SmackDown ‘Soon’

Bianca Belair provides an update on her current hiatus from WWE programming.

Following a dramatic title change at the hands of IYO SKY at WWE SummerSlam, Bianca Belair returned to action on the August 18 edition of WWE SmackDown, teaming up with Charlotte Flair to take on SKY and Bayley. Though Belair bounced back with a tag team victory on SmackDown, she has not been seen on WWE television since then.

Belair later attributed her absence to wanting some time for self-care while she also worked on some outside projects, such as writing a children’s book. During a recent interview with Rolling Out, Belair expressed her aim to be back on the SmackDown product in the near future.

“Hopefully, I’ll be back on SmackDown sometime soon,” Belair said. “In the coming future, we got me and my husband — we have a Hulu show coming out, a reality series, so be on the lookout for that. Just a lot of exciting things for the future.”

Belair’s Position As A WWE Superstar

While it’s unknown when “The EST” will definitively resurface on a WWE screen, she does take great pride in her position as a WWE Superstar — a role that has granted three championship reigns thus far.

“I’m honored and blessed to be in this position. It’s a lot of responsibility that comes with this position and a lot I put on myself. Being someone who’s been able to go out there and show up as myself, be unapologetically me, and in the process have so many accomplishments and create so much history, it’s cool. I’m not just out there for myself. Sometimes when you’re at the top, it can get very lonely,” Belair said.

“When you accomplish one thing, you get a “congratulations,” and then when you accomplish something else, it’s like, “Cool, that’s good,” and you accomplish it again and again and again, and it slowly starts getting a little quieter. When you are out there with a purpose to represent and be representation, and you have a “why” and a passion, you’re never by yourself.”
