Adam Copeland is looking forward to tangling up with Luchasaurus.
Tuesday night will provide a double dose of wrestling programming as AEW and WWE go head-to-head. While WWE NXT fulfills its usual Tuesday evening timeslot, AEW will present a special broadcast, entitled AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday, featuring two championship bouts. This occasion will also mark Adam Copeland’s in-ring debut for AEW.
After Christian Cage told Copeland to “go f***” himself last week, Copeland will now go one-on-one with Cage’s ally Luchasaurus. During an appearance on The Masked Man Show, Adam Copeland was asked about his mindset heading into his match against Luchasaurus. While this may be a first-time matchup, and his AEW in-ring debut, Copeland embraces this as an opportunity to create a a fresh story in a new company.
“I’m in no real mindset except just to further the story. This is the next step to get us to where we want to go for that first tentpole and then beyond that,” Copeland said. “Also, to get in there with a guy who I have watched and always thought is money, just needed the seasoning. He’s been getting that seasoning by sitting at the hand of Christian. There’s no way you’re not going to learn. It’s just going to happen, just even if you don’t ask questions, which he does.”
“There’s an adjustment”
“I’m looking forward to getting in there and finally, like, ‘Okay, here we go. First one, all right. We’re in. I’ve now wrestled in an AEW ring,’ because it’s all different. There’s an adjustment there. That’s really what I’ll be doing, too, is adjusting, because this is all brand-spanking-new. I don’t want to say I feel like a rookie again because I have a whole lot more experience than I did back then, but there’s elements of this to that. New ring, new audience, new barricades, new setups — it’s also really exciting.”
