AEW Collision Results (10/7/23): Adam Copeland Responds To Christian Cage, Bryan Danielson In Action

AEW Collision Results – October 7, 2023

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with promos from Bryan Danielson, Kyler Fletcher, Ricky Starks, Big Bill, Eddie Kingston, and FTR to hype up their respective matches tonight.

Ricky Starks and Big Bill defeated FTR to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions

  • Big Bill and Ricky Starks hit Dax Harwood with a chokeslam/spear combination. Starks got the pinfall for his team to win the titles.

Bryan Danielson defeated Kyle Fletcher

  • Bryan Danielson reversed Kyle Fletcher’s Dragon Sleeper into a rolling pinfall victory.

The Gates of Agony attack Bryan Danielson following the match in order to soften him up for Swerve Strickland on Dynamite. Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta come out and even up the odds and send The Gates of Agony retreating.

Ricky Starks and Big Bill are backstage. Big Bill says they went out there with the best tag team in the world tonight and beat their ass. Bill says it’s about time that the AEW Tag Team division is represented by stars. Ricky Starks says FTR doesn’t get a rematch. Starks says everyone wants to gun after them now and they are the real faces of Collision.

Bullet Club Gold (w/ Jay White) defeated Angelico, Gravity, and Metalik (w/ Serpentico)

  • The Gunns hit 310 to Yuma on Metalik, Juice Robinson follows it up with an inverted DDT to pick up the pinfall victory for his team.

The Bang Bang Gang runs AEW Collision

Jay White cuts a promo with Bullet Club Gold after the match. White points out the fact that he has MJF’s AEW World Championship with him which he stole from him at Dynamite. White questions where MJF is tonight.

Jay White jokes that his match against Hangman Page at Dynamite on Tuesday won’t be for the title and it will be a title eliminator match instead.

A video package plays where Nick Wayne explains why he turned on Darby Allin. Wayne says he knew the best way to get back at Allin was to join his biggest enemy Christian Cage. Wayne says Cage is the father figure he’s always needed.

The Acclaimed defeated Iron Savages to retain the AEW World Trios Titles

  • Max Caster hits the Mic Check on Jacked Jameson to score the pinfall victory.

“Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Kiera Hogan

  • Toni Storm hits Storm Zero on Kiera Hogan to score the pinfall victory.

Ruby Soho is backstage. Soho says she has Shida beat and if it wasn’t for Shida knocking out the referee, she would be facing Saraya for the title on Tuesday. Renee Paquette informs Soho she’s been banned from ringside for Saraya’s title defense against Shida. Soho is upset but maintains her composure and says Saraya doesn’t need her out there and she’ll do it on her own.

Eddie Kingston defeated Komander to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship

  • Eddie Kingston hits a spinning back fist on Komander to score the pinfall victory.

The Rated R Superstar speaks

Adam Copeland comes to the ring to speak. Copeland says things didn’t go the way he believed they would on AEW Dynamite. Copeland says he came to All Elite Wrestling to team with Christian Cage and he can’t understand why things happened like they did.

Adam reveals when he and Cage first started talking about him coming here; the plan was to tag. Copeland says Christian is a dick, but he loves him. Copeland says Cage is in his Bond villain phase. The Rated R Superstar says he’s out here for answers and calls out Christian Cage since he won’t return his phone calls.

Christian Cage appears on the Tron and tells Copeland that he hasn’t accomplished anything in All Elite Wrestling. Cage says he won’t give him an answer tonight, but he’ll give it to him Tuesday night on Dynamite. Cage teases Copeland won’t make it to Dynamite.

Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne come out. Copeland tries to fight them both off but is overwhelmed by the numbers game. Luchasaurus attempts to hit Copeland with a conchairto, but he’s saved by Darby Allin wielding a steel chair of his own.

Allin hesitated to attack Nick Wayne which allowed Luchasaurus to take advantage of Allin. Nick Wayne hits a conchairto on Darby Allin’s shoulder as AEW Collision goes off the air.
