Brian Pillman Jr. is making the jump to WWE.
As previously reported, Pillman Jr.’s AEW contract expired and he left the company in July. He then reportedly signed with WWE, and he was set to start in NXT at the end of August. In recent weeks, vignettes that clearly link to Pillman Jr. have aired on NXT TV.
Chris Phelan of USA Network wrote that the rumors are true, as Brian Pillman Jr. is coming to WWE.
“The rumors are true: Brian Pillman, Jr. is the latest pro wrestling prodigy to make the jump to WWE,” Phelan wrote. “It’s yet another savvy signing by WWE as they pluck yet another aspiring Superstar away from the competition and welcome another world-class athlete to the WWE locker room. Here’s why the WWE Universe should be excited for the eventual in-ring debut of Brian Pillman, Jr.!”
Phelan then highlighted Pillman Jr. and his status as a second-generation wrestler.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Pillman Jr. will make his official debut. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
WrestleZone has coverage of WWE NXT as it airs every Tuesday.
