Richard Holliday Is Retiring From Fantasy Football, Not Wrestling

It would appear that some people did not read below the fold.

Richard Holliday made a huge announcement on Sunday night, sharing that he was retiring from fantasy football.

[Pause to regain your composure…]

Holliday had ’em in the first half, as he made it sound like he was announcing another retirement.

“I have decided to retire at the end of this year. My passion is simply not there the way it was at the beginning of my career. Too much work w/ no real payoff for me, so id like to put my focus into other projects.

“Thank you for the memories, Fantasy Football,” Holliday wrote.

It looks like some missed the punchline, as Holliday put out a Tweet, clarifying once more that he is still very much part of the pro wrestling scene.

Holliday also did well in his fantasy baseball league on Sunday, so the day wasn’t a total loss.

Holliday was asked about the speculation regarding his next moves in an interview with Haus of Wrestling.

“I think speculation is one of the funnest things about wrestling, and the speculation, I’m serious,” Richard Holliday said. “I think the speculation that surrounds wrestling is large, right? That’s a big part of the business is, like I said before, ‘I want Richard here, I want Richard there.’ I think that fans are always going to do that, and they’re always going to have fun fantasy booking.”
