The Young Bucks have earned a shot at the gold.
At AEW WrestleDream, The Young Bucks faced Orange Cassidy and HOOK, The Gunns, and the Lucha Brothers. The winner of the bout would earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship at a time of their choosing.
The four teams clashed in a chaotic bout that broke down rather quickly. Rey Fenix, the reigning AEW International Champion, was taken out of the match early on after he suffered an apparent injury, leaving Penta El Zero Miedo on his own. The Gunns showcased their impressive chemistry throughout the bout. They tried to bend the rules by trying to have Austin pin Colten, but the referee didn’t buy it.
In the end, The Young Bucks scored the win by hitting the BTE Trigger on Penta.
AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR will defend the titles against Aussie Open later in the show at AEW WrestleDream.
