Mariah May has apparently said farewell to STARDOM.
May lost to Hanan at the STARDOM 5STAR Grand Prix Finals event on September 30. After the bout, May addressed the crowd and confirmed that the match marked her final contest in a STARDOM ring. She thanked everyone and stated that she loved STARDOM and Japan.
Prior to the show, May stated that she had to catch a flight after her match, though she didn’t specify where she was going.
Mariah May has been with STARDOM since December 2022, and she has held the Goddess of Stardom Championship with Mina Shirakawa.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) previously reported that AEW had internal conversations about potentially working with May, and there was traction about her going to the company.
AEW will hold AEW WrestleDream in Seattle, Washington, on October 1. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
