Joyce Grable has died at the age of 70.
Just two days prior on September 27, Leilani Kai revealed on social media that Grable would be returning home under hospice care. It was then confirmed by WOW – Women of Wrestling on September 29 that Grable passed away.
A student of Fabulous Moolah, Grable was active in various territories throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Notably, she was a five-time NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside the likes of Vicki Williams and Wendi Richter.
Grable’s career slowed down in the late ’80s before she officially retired in 1991 due to back surgery. She continued to make sporadic appearances on the independent scene in the years following. Grable was also inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame (2012), the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (2013), and the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame (2022).
WrestleZone sends it condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Joyce Grable at this time.
