Indi Hartwell opens up about moving to the main roster.
2023 has been a rollercoaster year for the Australian native. Hartwell captured her first NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania weekend shortly before she was called up to WWE RAW in the 2023 Draft. At the same time, Hartwell vacated the NXT Women’s title due to a foot injury.
During a recent interview with Ned & Josh, Hartwell discussed moving to RAW while injured as a titleholder.
“It’s just the next logical step,” Hartwell said. “At the time, I was injured and so it kind of worked out. It was obviously very unfortunate to get injured, but then later that week is when I got drafted to RAW, so it was bittersweet. I just won the title, I had to give it up. But I knew that it was the next logical step. I’m ready to level up on it.”
In regards to leaving NXT after over three years in the system, Hartwell noted that there was some trepidation.
“Of course, it is kind of scary, it’s like a whole new huge world. I was really comfortable at NXT and really comfortable in front of that crowd that came to see us every week in the same arena,” Hartwell said. “Those fans are so passionate and I’m so appreciative to those fans because they gave up their time every week to come and see us.”
Hartwell last wrestled on RAW on August 14. She has competed on WWE Main Event tapings in recent weeks.
