Even outside the WWE ring, John Cena continues to showcase his superhuman strength.
The wrestled-turned-actor is seen casually lifting Dua Lipa with one arm in the first trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s latest spy action comedy Argylle.
John Cena is part of an all-star cast in Argylle. The cast also features Henry Cavill (who plays the titular character), Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston and more.
Argylle hits theaters on February 2, 2024.

The official synopsis for the film reads:
Elly Conway, an introverted spy novelist who seldom leaves her home, is drawn into the real world of espionage when the plots of her books get a little too close to the activities of a sinister underground syndicate. When Aiden, a spy, shows up to save her (he says) from being kidnapped or killed (or both), Elly and her beloved cat Alfie are plunged into a covert world where nothing, and no one, is what it seems.”

Playing Peacemaker
John Cena’s portrayal of Peacemaker in season one of the namesake series garnered him universal acclaim. However, DC’s reshuffle of the top brass made the character’s future anything but certain.
New co-chair James Gunn recently announced John Cena would be returning in the role that made him a critically acclaimed Hollywood mainstay. Gunn, who brought Cena’s Peacemaker to life in 2021’s Suicide Squad and re-introduced him in the 2022 series, confirmed the same for Blue Beetle and Amanda Waller’s actors Xolo Maridueña and Viola Davis.
“Xolo Maridueña will continue playing Blue Beetle in the DCU, as Viola Davis will Amanda Waller, and John Cena will Peacemaker,” Gunn wrote on the microblogging site.
John Cena’s road to Fastlane
WWE confirmed this past Monday on RAW that John Cena would work the upcoming Fastlane premium live event. Cena returned to SmackDown full-time on September 15, 2023. He and AJ Styles worked an angle with Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in the main event of the show.
Cena signed the contract for his tag team match against The Bloodline on the September 22nd episode of SmackDown. Styles was ambushed by Jimmy and Solo in a backstage angle. This left Cena without a partner for Fastlane.
John Cena is currently scheduled to face the brothers in a two-on-one handicap match. WrestleZone will have the updated Fastlane card when and if it becomes available.
