Dominik Mysterio has received a new challenger for WWE NXT No Mercy.
During the September 26 episode of WWE NXT, a four-way match determined the new number one contender for the NXT North American Championship.
The match was originally set to be contested between Axiom, Tyler Bate, and Dragon Lee. However, Trick Williams was added to the bout after he scored a win over Joe Gacy earlier in the show and spoke to Shawn Michaels. In the end, Williams prevailed as he pinned Axiom to clinch the win.
Mustafa Ali was originally slated to challenge Mysterio at NXT No Mercy. However, he was released from WWE on September 21.
Update: WWE announced that Dragon Lee will be the special guest referee for the title match. Mysterio defeated Lee to retain the title on the September 25 episode of WWE RAW. Lee attacked Dominik backstage on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
