The current status of One Pro Wrestling is seemingly up in the air.
1PW owner Steven Gauntley, owner of 1PW Wrestling filed a termination of appointment filing with the UK government. Additionally, Gauntley filed for cessation of himself and Liam Alan Frank Smedley as a person with significant control (H/t Corey Brennan of Bodyslam.net)
Brennan noted that Gauntley also resigned from the company, as seen on Companies House. In the report, Brennan wrote that Bodyslam.net has been made aware of other debts the company is facing, including money owed to talent that 1PW has yet to pay.
Additionally, the company is struggling with the ticket sales for their upcoming Know Your Enemy event on October 28. Matt Cardona vs. James Storm, among other matches, is advertised for the show.
1PW previously responded to claims that they had not paid talent by stating that they paid everyone and claims to the contrary were false.
