It’s time for another Gut Check!
Next month, IMPACT Wrestling will head across the pond for a tour of the United Kingdom. Amidst this tour, the company will also be hosting two Gut Check tryout events.
As announced on Twitter, IMPACT Wrestling is currently in search for the next wave of professional wrestling stars. With this objective in mind, IMPACT has coordinated a pair of Gut Check tryout opportunities in conjunction with their upcoming UK Invasion Tour. The first Gut Check event will take place on Wednesday, October 25 in Glasgow, Scotland, with the second following session four days later on Sunday, October 29 in Coventry, England.
There, wrestlers will showcase their skillsets in front of an esteemed panel of judges. This year’s panel includes IMPACT Wrestling President Scott D’Amore, IMPACT Hall of Famer Gail Kim, and former IMPACT Wrestling Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry, who is also a native of Scotland.
Winners of Gut Check will receive a developmental contract with IMPACT Wrestling, which includes up to six months of training at the Can-Am Dojo in Windsor, Ontario, and a grant to put toward living expenses. Upon their training at the Can-Am Dojo, winners will have the opportunity to work alongside veteran coaches such as Josh Alexander, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, and Scott D’Amore. Winners also have the possibility of earning a contract to join the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
Registration for both Gut Check events is now open, coinciding with a fee of $100 USD (£80 GBP). IMPACT noted that fans with tickets to either of their shows in Coventry are able to watch the second Gut Check event for free. However, no fans will be permitted for the Glasgow session.
