Jey Uso‘s move to WWE RAW was reportedly part of a plan that was meant to launch him into singles stardom.
Jey Uso had been featured on WWE SmackDown, and he feuded with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns beat Uso at WWE SummerSlam, and Jey subsequently “walked out” of WWE. Cody Rhodes then brought him back at WWE Payback, There, he revealed that Uso had been moved to WWE RAW.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that sources noted that other Bloodline members were important building blocks in the storyline. Sapp noted that the company and those involved in the storyline were confident that it would elevate Jey Uso into singles stardom.
In the report, Sapp cited sources who noted that Uso’s move to RAW was part of that process. There are “long-term plans for him’, per Sapp’s sources. Jey is “tentatively planned” for a heavily featured role. These plans are set to carry through at least the next two months. WWE officials were reportedly very happy with the reactions Uso has received.
Since Jey moved to WWE RAW, he has been a featured member of the roster. He headlined the September 18 episode, where he lost to Drew McIntyre.
