A new champion was crowned at AAA’s latest set of TV tapings.
The company taped matches for upcoming episodes of TV on September 23. According to spoilers courtesy of Diario Record and Rob Viper (via Fightful), the AAA Cruiserweight Championship changed hands. Vikingo was unable to compete due to injury, so he suggested that Konnan should book a match for the Cruiserweight Championship.
Later in the show, Komander defeated Mecha Wolf, La Estrella and Kukai to win the gold. Komander is now the reigning AAA Cruiserweight Champion and one-half of the World Tag Team Champions.
Rey Fenix previously vacated the cruiserweight title due to his international commitments.
