The September 29 episode of WWE SmackDown will feature a WWE United States Championship match.
As confirmed during the September 15 episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio will defend his WWE United States Championship against Santos Escobar. Escobar previously challenged Mysterio to a title match, and his fellow LWO member accepted. The duo defeated the Street Profits on the September 22 episode.
Elsewhere in the night, Charlotte Flair and Bayley will clash in a singles match. Flair intervened when Bayley interfered in the title match between WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY and Asuka in Friday, as she punched “The Role Model.”
Plus, Bobby Lashley will appear on the Grayson Waller Effect. Lashley stormed off after the Street Profits lost to Mysterio and Escobar, and he later threatened to end his association with them.
