Former WWE Superstar Trinity (f.k.a. Naomi) reacted to her match at IMPACT Wrestling 1000. She competed alongside wrestling legend Mickie James.
IMPACT Wrestling recently achieved a major milestone. The Nashville-based promotion has crossed 1000 episodes. In light of their huge achievement, the company had two episodes celebrating the milestone.
The first episode aired last week and the second one aired last night. One of the marquee matches from the second episode was the 10-Women Knockouts Division Tag Team Match. The match featured several stars including IMPACT Wrestling Legends.
The wrestlers involved in the match were the team of Trinity, Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, Jordynne Grace & Mickie James, and Angelina Love, Deonna Purrazzo, Tasha Steelz, Gisele Shaw & Savannah Evans.
Every wrestler in the match had a great showing. Finally, Awesome Kong hit the Implant Buster on Gisele Shaw to pick up the win for her team.
During the match, Trinity and Mickie James shared a special moment when the two worked together in unison to stop the momentum of their opponents. The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion took to Twitter to share her reaction to the spot.
“*NSYNC should be proud bc that we did @MickieJames,” Trinity tweeted.
After the match, however, James looked to set her sights on Trinity’s Knockouts Championship, the same title that James never lost.
James forfeited the title due to injury, and Trinity had the following to say about the exchange:
Trinity wants to wrestle Mickie James
Last night on IMPACT Wrestling, the Knockouts Champion got to share the ring with one of her idols. That was none other than the WWE Hall of Famer. During an interview with Sportskeeda, the former WWE Superstar revealed that her dream opponent is Mickie James.
“The one person I look forward to being in the ring with is Mickie [James],” she told Sportskeeda. “We never really got to…we’ve touched and been in the ring in WWE but never an angle or a real feud or anything like that.”
They have never wrestled each other in one-on-one competition. But, both wrestlers have shared the squared circle in WWE in the former of tag matches and battle royals or the Royal Rumble.
