Shanky is no longer with WWE.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is reporting Shanky was released by WWE on Thursday.
Shanky (aka Dilsher Shanky, real name Gurvinder Singh Malhotra) made his in-ring debut in India’s Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) in 2015. He signed with WWE in January 2020. Malhotra made his in-ring debut at the 2021 WWE Superstar Spectacle. There, Giant Zanjeer, Rey Mysterio & Ricochet defeated Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin & Shinsuke Nakamura.
Malhotra would later team with Veer and Jinder Mahal on the RAW brand. The team split when Veer was drafted to SmackDown.
Shanky worked his first match in more than 14 months when he competed at the 2023 WWE Superstar Spectacle in India. There, he challenged Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship. The title match with Gunther was his last match for the promotion.
