Tiffany Stratton is ready for her rematch.
New NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch kicked off the September 19 episode of WWE NXT to address her new title reign that began just one week ago. After running down some of her potential challengers, Tiffany Stratton interrupted and made it known she wants her rematch as soon as possible.
After teasing the bout for Tuesday night, Stratton rescinded her challenge and joked about Lynch needing to beat another WWE Hall of Famer to stay relevant. As the encounter turned physical, Kiana James joined Stratton in beating down “The Man.” Once Lynch got her hands on a chair, they both retreated.
Lynch followed it up backstage by challenging Stratton and James to a handicap match in the main event of Tuesday’s episode. In the main event, Lyra Valkyria came to Lynch’s aid when James and Stratton attacked her before the bell. They then defeated Stratton and James in a tag team match.
When Stratton hit Lynch with a chair after the bell, Lynch responded by saying their clash at NXT No Mercy would be an Extreme Rules Match.
WWE has confirmed that Stratton will receive her rematch at NXT No Mercy on September 30. WrestleZone will have complete coverage of the event as it airs.
