Kevin Nash Takes Partial Credit For Ending Slim Jim’s Initial Partnership With WWE

Kevin Nash had a big hand in Slim Jim following Randy Savage to WCW in the 1990s.

On the latest episode of Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke about being partially responsible for ending Slim Jim’s deal with WWE in the 1990s and sticking with Randy Savage.

“I had a lot to do with it,” Kevin Nash admitted. “So they came to me because I was champion, and we did a Slim Jim commercial. And when we were kind of wrapping things up, I was talking to the execs. I said, ‘Man, I’m not the guy. This is synonymous with Randy. You should stick with Randy.'”

When co-host Sean Oliver mentioned that a lot of the heat between Randy Savage and Vince McMahon stemmed from WWE losing that deal, Nash had the following response.

“Oops,” Kevin Nash said. “I thought I was doing Mach a favor. You know what? He’s up there right now looking down on me and going, Nash, you always had my back.”
