WWE NXT Viewership, Key Demo Sees Big Increase On 9/12

WWE NXT viewership increased in a big way on September 12.

A source sent the viewership numbers to WrestleZone, and 850,000 viewers tuned in on Tuesday. This number is up 26% from last week, when 673,000 viewers watched the show on September 5. The total viewership was up 17% compared to a year ago. The September 12 viewership number marked NXT’s highest since October 28, 2020.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, NXT scored a 0.3 rating (335,000 viewers), which is also up from last week (0.18 rating). The demographic rating was up 46% compared to September 5 and 74% compared to last year.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics noted that the eight-minute overrun on Tuesday, which included the end of Becky Lynch’s match with Tiffany Stratton, averaged over 1,000,000 viewers.

This Week’s Episode Of WWE NXT

The September 12 episode of WWE NXT was headlined by Becky Lynch’s return to the brand. In the main event, Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton to win the NXT Womens Championship. In the opening match, Ilja Dragunov beat Wes Lee to earn a shot at the NXT Championship.

Elsewhere on the show., Lyra Valkyria battled Dana Brooke, and Baron Corbin called out Bron Breakker. Additionally, the NXT Global Heritage Invitational continued.
