EC3 will defend the gold at NWA SAMHAIN.
As previously announced, EC3 will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in his hometown of Cleveland at NWA SAMHAIN. His opponent for the October 28 show as not initially confirmed.
On the September 12 episode of NWA Powerrr, EC3 called out NWA World Television Champion Thom Latimer. He noted that he knew Latimer wanted a shot at the world title, so he challenged him to a match at the pay-per-view.
Latimer’s wife, Kamille, interrupted and took some shots at EC3. She noted that EC3 politicked with the boss to get to where he is, and she referenced how he “lost his mind” after he left “the other company.” However, Latimer ultimately accepted the challenge, saying he will see EC3 in Cleveland.
Assuming the match is made official, Latimer will relinquish the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, as per the stipulation of the Lucky Seven rule. Latimer defended the title seven times, so he earned the title to cash it in for a world title shot.
EC3 won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship by beating Tyrus at NWA 75 Night Two.
