Seth Rollins wants to fight Shinsuke Nakamura, but Nakamura once again declined, citing Rollins’ health in a surprise twist.
In an in-ring promo during the September 11 episode of WWE RAW, Rollins told Nakamura to come down and face him for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. For the second week in a row, Nakamura once again declined.
After Rollins made his demand, a live feed of Nakamura backstage popped up on the video screen. Nakamura could be seen attacking Ricochet, and after knocking him down, he addressed Rollins. Nakamura said that he found out that Rollins — who has said he has two fractures in his spine — was not medically cleared to compete. As a result, he noted that he wouldn’t be taking Rollins’ title from him yet.
WWE later announced that Nakamura will face Ricochet on the September 18 episode of WWE RAW.
