There has been a new update in the lawsuit between MLW and WWE.
Per PWInsider (H/t Fightful) , WWE filed a motion in response to MLW’s motion to dismiss their defenses. WWE requested for MLW’s motion to be denied, and MLW must respond by September 15. A hearing about the motion is set for October 26.
WWE claimed that MLW filed their motion without mentioning the issues raised in it to WWE or asking the company to amend or withdraw their defenses. The motion asserts that MLW’s motion wastes the courts time and resources. WWE wrote that the issues should have been resolved by the parties themselves. WWE also claimed that they provided MLW “fair notice” of the bases of their defenses.
Furthermore, WWE claimed that they provided information about one of the main defenses that MLW aims to strike. WWE requested for the motion to be denied in order to avoid more “needless” litigation.
WWE specifically requested for the Court to either deny MLW’s motion or accept the amended answer they proposed, thus making MLW’s motion moot.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
