LA Knight and WWE are reportedly in contract talks, and a new update shines some light on the situation.
Knight has become one of WWE’s hottest stars in recent months. On a weekly basis, he consistently draws some of the loudest pops of the night, and he continues to build momentum.
Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE and LA Knight have been in conversations about his contract. But sources dismissed the previous report that they were close to agreeing on a five-year deal.
Sapp wrote that there was a five-year contract offer. However, Knight and WWE are currently far apart on money, per sources. He noted that no agreement has been reached, and while they will keep negotiating, nothing seems to be imminent.
More Details On LA Knight’s Contract
In the report, Sapp also cited a WWE higher-up who rejected the idea that LA Knight’s push was linked to a new contract. Per Sapp, Knight’s current deal will keep him with the company well into 2025.
