After the September 6 episode of AEW Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling taped matches for the September 8 episode of AEW Rampage from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN.

- Penta El Zero Miedo defeated Jay Lethal in a Grand Slam World Title Eliminator quarterfinal.
- After a confrontation between Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho, they agreed to face each other in a match at AEW Grand Slam.
- Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida & Skye Blue defeated Anna Jay, Taya Valkyrie & The Bunny
- The Young Bucks defeated “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker & “Daddy Magic “Matt Menard (with Jake Hager)
- Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy in a Grand Slam World Title Eliminator quarterfinal.
