Becky Lynch shared some unfortunate news on social media Wednesday, announcing that she wouldn’t be able to attend WWE Superstar Spectacle.
In a tweet, Lynch said that due to a small tear on her passport, she wasn’t allowed to board her flight to India. As a result, she will miss the event. Lynch didn’t have an official match set for the event, but she was featured on promotional material for the show.
Update: Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling took to Twitter and noted that, per a WWE representative, the reason for Lynch’s absence was legitimate and not part of a storyline.
WWE Superstar Spectacle is set to take place on September 8, 2023, and will happen at the G.M.C. Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Telangana, India. The fully announced card for the event is as follows:
- Seth Rollins & John Cena vs. Imperium (Giovanni Vinci & Ludwig Kaiser)
- Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Indus Sher (Sanga & Veer Mahaan)
- WWE Women’s World Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya
- Shanky, Jinder Mahal, Bron Breakker, Matt Riddle to appear
