Former WWE star General Adnan has passed away.
On September 6, legendary announcer Ken Resnick announced that Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie, also known as General Adnan, has passed away at the age of 84.
Al-Kaissie had a lengthy career in the wrestling world, dating back to the 1950s. He wrestled throughout a number of territories before he started working for WWWF in 1976. Al-Kaissie and Chief Jay Strongbow won the WWWF Tag Team Championship together. He later wrestled for AWA before he returned to WWE in 1990.
During this run, Al-Kaissie had a memorable run with Sgt. Slaughter. The duo was joined by The Iron Sheik, and they formed the Triangle of Terror. The group headlined WWE SummerSlam 1991, where they faced Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior.
