Jey Uso Returns At WWE Payback, Joins RAW Roster

Cody Rhodes‘ big announcement turned out to be a big win for the RAW brand.

Rhodes was the special guest on The Grayson Waller Effect at WWE Payback. Rhodes teased a big announcement, but started by telling Waller how things wouldn’t go. He told Waller that they’d probably like to see him scrap with Waller, but he actually made a move for the RAW brand. Rhodes asked Waller if he thought SmackDown was intriguing, and Waller said yeah… but he only watched his own content.

Rhodes then said he used all of his ‘pull’ and called in a favor, then he welcomed ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso to the RAW brand. Jey came to the ring and Waller began talking trash, telling Jey he’s done nothing as a solo star. Waller said he could benefit from the Grayson Waller Effect, then Uso superkicked Waller to the delight of the crowd.

Jey Is Back

Jey Uso “quit” SmackDown on August 11 as a result of his being frustrated with how his brother, Jimmy, turned on him at SummerSlam. Jimmy explained that he only acted because he worried how the power of being Tribal Chief would’ve affected his brother, but Jey ultimately superkicked Jimmy and said he was leaving WWE.

Now, it would appear that he only left SmackDown (and The Bloodline) behind.

Jimmy Uso had a confrontation with John Cena on the September 1 episode of SmackDown. Jimmy interrupted Cena’s Payback announcement and said that people were there to see him instead. Read more about what went down between the pair here.
