AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 8/30, Demo Drops

AEW Dynamite viewership slightly increased on August 30.

According to Wrestlenomics, 871,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.30 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 870,000 viewers tuned in. The demo was down from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.32 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Jon Moxley defeating Komander. We also saw Eddie Kingston successfully defend the New Japan STRONG Openweight Championship against Wheeler Yuta.

Elsewhere on the show, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara agreed to reform Le Sex Gods to go after the AEW World Tag Team Titles. It was also announced that Roderick Strong would enter the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament in an attempt to earn a title shot against MJF.

In the main event, Orange Cassidy defeated Penta El Zero Miedo to retain the AEW International Championship. Cassidy will defend his title against Jon Moxley at AEW All Out.
