Xavier Woods Says He Suffered Whiplash After Drew McIntyre Threw A Chair At Him

Xavier Woods says he’s a little dinged up after Drew McIntyre threw a chair at him on WWE RAW.

On the August 28 episode of WWE RAW, The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) faced The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar). During the match, Drew McIntyre, who was watching on at ringside, got involved. McIntyre threw some chairs around, and one of them hit Woods’ head. Woods was essentially taken out of the match, and the Viking Raiders scored the win.

Woods then took to Twitter and revealed that he suffered whiplash due to the chair. As a result, he stated that he will not be able to wrestle on the September 4 episode of WWE RAW, which is also his birthday. He wrote that he would see everyone the week after.

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston recently made their return to WWE RAW. They defeated the Viking Raiders on the August 7 episode of WWE RAW.

WWE subsequently announced that Woods suffered a cervical strain after he was hit by a chair. The announcement noted that Woods will miss the September 4 episode of WWE RAW.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
