WWE SmackDown viewership increased on August 25.
Wrestlenomics reports that 2.647 million viewers watched the show on Friday night. This number excludes NFL preseason viewership; only 1% of homes were affected by the broadcast being preempted for NFL preseason games. This number is up 26% from last week, when 2.094 million viewers tuned in.
In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.78 rating (including 1,022,000 viewers), which is up 41% from the previous week (0.55 rating in the same demographic.)
Wrestlenomics noted that these numbers marked SmackDown’s highest since December 25, 2020, when the show had an NFL lead-in. Otherwise, it marked SmackDown’s highest viewership and demo since February 28, 2020.
