MJF would love to make more history with AEW in Mexico.
Tony Khan was asked about possibly doing an event in Latin America during MJF’s portion of the AEW All In post-show media scrum. MJF jumped in and said he would love to do an event in Mexico, hoping his answer pressured Khan to agree to it.
“I’m just going to say this right now — I want to go to Aztec Stadium so fucking bad. It’s not up to me, it’s not up to me,” MJF said. “But you can fit a whole lot of people in Aztec Stadium. I love the Mexican people, I love the Mexican culture and boy oh boy, do I love Mexican food. My God…
“So I’m going to let [Tony] take that question now,” MJF added, “and I pray to God that I just peer pressured the fuck out of him into saying maybe or yes.”
Everybody Loves MJF
“I think he nailed it,” Khan replied. “I think that’s a great venue and that is a great idea. That is definitely something to consider.”
Khan touted making progress with AEW’s first Canadian and UK tours, so he’d love to explore that option in the future.
“Also, Mexican people loooove the champ. Love me. Can’t get enough of me. That’s a fact,” MJF quipped. “Puerto Ricans love me. Latinx, brother. You all love me. Are you kidding me? I don’t care what color you are, fucking yellow, white, purple, black. Everybody loves MJF.”
