Tony Khan confirms that there was an incident backstage at AEW All In.
As reported by Fightful Select, there was a confrontation backstage between CM Punk and Jack Perry. The two stars were previously involved in a disagreement over a spot Perry had planned to do, which would have involved glass.
During the AEW All In post-show media conference, Khan confirmed that there was an incident. He stated that it is under investigation, but he did not name Perry or Punk.
“I can’t comment on it at this time, beyond what I’m about to say,” Tony Khan said. “Yes, there was an incident backstage before we went live on tonight’s show. We are investigating it.
“Until I learn more about what happened, I can’t really address it at this time, so I can’t comment. But I did want to be honest with you and tell you that is the case.”
