The Acclaimed are once again champions in AEW.
At AEW All In, The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) and Billy Gunn challenged House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King) for the AEW World Trios Championship in a No Holds Barred match. The bout marked Gunn’s return to the ring after he seemingly retired following the trios’ previous loss to House of Black.
Julia Hart accompanied House of Black to the ring. She got involved, as she pulled the referee out of the ring during a pin attempt. Gunn and The Acclaimed took her out with the Scissor Me Timbers. In the end, the power of scissoring and friendship couldn’t be denied. Gunn and The Acclaimed scored the win with a combination of The Arrival and The Mic Drop.
After the match, Bowens led the crowd in the world’s biggest scissor party as the new champions scissored in the ring.
House of Black previously won the AEW World Trios Championship by defeating The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) at AEW Revolution 2023.
